These are the top ten best selling Xbox games since its release:

1. Halo 3, Microsoft. 8.4 Million
2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Activision. 6.6 Million.
3. Grand Theft Auto IV, Take Two Interactive. 6.2 Million.
4. Gears of War. Microsoft. 5.3 Million.
5. Forza Motorsport 2, Microsoft. 4.1 Million.
6. Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft. 4.0 Million.
7. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Red Octane. 3.5 Million.
8. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, 2K Games. 2.6 Million.
9. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Activision. 2.5 Million.
10. Madden NFL '08, EA Sports. 2.4 Million.

I really thought GTA would take the cake on this one, but i guess i underestimated the Halo. Also GTA is on multiple platforms though so you have to take that into account as well. The same goes for Call of Duty 4.
